gBuyBay resells returned goods by consumers for retailers, distributors or importers. It offers end-to-end reverse logistics, collecting, grading returns, coordinating repairs and finally reselling to consumers via 3rd party marketplaces.
The company developed a proprietary BI sales engine to optimize value recovery, manage costs efficiently and run reports and analytics on resales.
BuyBay was founded in 2014 and originally focused on temporary promotional ‘dat deals’ e.g. Groupon. Over the course of 2016 BuyBay shifted from low margin overstock tradin to its current reverse logistics business. Bol.com was the first pilot customer and converted to long-term business partner in a matter of months.
